Job Vacancies at University of Ibadan

The position of BURSAR of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria will be vacant from Wednesday, 9 September, 2009.
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position.


The Position
The right candidate should also have the ability to develop linkages with the external communities to support the needs of the University, command respect and engender the cooperation and loyalty of staff and students of the institution.

Experience
Candidates are required to have a minimum of fifteen (15) years post graduation experience with a minimum of twelve (12) years cognate experience after professional qualification. Experience in a University or comparable institution will be an advantage.


Qualifications
Candidates must possess a good honours Degree (or equivalent in Accountancy or related discipline from a recognized University as well as professionally-recognised
Accountancy qualification of ACA, ACMA, CPA, ACCA, CNA from any of the following bodies:
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria
Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales
Institute of Cost and Management Accountants
Institute of Certified Public Accountants
Association of National Accountants of Nigeria


Salary and Conditions of Service
The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to the post of BURSAR of all Nigerian Federal Universities and as may be determined from time-to-time by the Government/Governing Council as appropriate.
In accordance with the Universities Miscellaneous Provisions Decree No. 11 of 1993 (as amended), Sections 6 (4) and 6 (5), the successful candidate shall hold office for five (5) years in the first instance.
The appointment may however be renewed for another five years and no more,
Fringe benefits include a Pension Scheme in consonance with the Contributory Pension Scheme and appropriate allowances as may be approved from time-to-time by the Government/University Council

Salary
CONTISS 14 (N1, 822,908- N2,381,772)

Conditions if Service
This is as applicable in all Federal Universities in Nigeria. The appointment will commence as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will be on probation for three years in the first instance.
The appointment may thereafter, be extended for a specific period or confirmed to retiring age of 60 years.
