Full-Time News Reporter (Lagos, Nigeria)
Job Description

This is a full time position which requires availability Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend assignments. In this role you will be responsible for reporting, writing, and voicing news stories that set the agenda. Must have the ability to cover a news beat independently, develop strong contacts, and be able to deliver under extremely tight deadlines. Must be readily available for travel within short notices.

Requirements

• Must be resident in the Lagos.
• Applicant must be computer proficient.
• Must be able to demonstrate understanding of the Nigerian political terrain.
• Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of broadcast journalism - reporting, writing, voicing, editing, producing full radio pieces, use of microphones, recorders, computers and the internet.
• The ideal candidate must also be able demonstrate expertise in the execution of sophisticated radio broadcast journalism, such as long-form features and documentaries.

Part-Time News Reporter/Presenter (Lagos, Nigeria)
Job Description

• This is a part-time position suitable for practicing journalists/reporters who like to join the Nigerian WebRadio team on a part time basis.
• Availability is required for a minimum of 2 hours a day, Monday to Friday and 4 hours on Saturdays/Sundays. In this role you will be responsible for reporting, writing, and voicing news stories from the human angle. Minimum of one story is required per day. You may also be required to deliver news broadcast on need basis.
• Access to high speed internet is a must for this position.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND in Mass Communications or related field is required. Candidates with OND in other discipline may also apply provided they possess minimum of one year relevant experience.
