The Chief Inspector will be the group head responsible for strengthening the organisation’s corporate internal control and audit group.

Qualifications

Interested candidates must possess the following qualifications:

1)      A degree in accounting , maths, engineering or any other relevant social science course from a reputable university
2)      At least 12 years cognate experience working in a leading commercial bank, a large part of which must have been spent as an auditor
3)      ACCA or ICAN. (An MBA or MSc in finance, together with or CIA certification will also be an added advantage)
4)      Excellent managerial skills. Candidate must provide evidence of at least 3 years experience managing the internal control and audit department of a leading medium  to large sized commercial bank
5)      Good report writing skills
6)      Excellent knowledge of  relevant  banking statutory and regulatory policies relating to  internal control and audit
7)      A good relationship with key stakeholders in all the relevant statutory and regulatory bodies.
8)      Good reporting writing skills
9)      Excellent cognitive skills
10)     Good knowledge of computerised auditing

Qualifications

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

* Responsible for developing and managing the integrated process for evaluating the downstream billing process from ‘call – CDR – bill – cash.’ Analysis and synthesis of solutions for revenue leakage at any stage of the process.
* Responsible for negotiating and managing billing and service delivery regulatory compliance for the company
* Independent risk assessment of all service and product launches. Initiation of improvement opportunities that lead to the launch of risk responsible products and services within project constraints
* Monitoring compliance of key revenue processing systems in terms of completeness, correctness and timeliness
* Ensuring accuracy in customer provisioning from the HLR to the IN and postpaid billing system.
* Development of standard operating procedures from customer activation through customer vetting and data verification to customer suspension and deactivation
* Continuous improvement of the interconnect process in cooperation with the interconnect coordinator and the management of interconnect malpractices
* Structural analysis of customer activities for possible fraud. Development of fraud management procedures and use of tools and techniques.
* Continuous monitoring of emerging fraud types and liaison with other operators to understand and combat fraud. Spearhead national fraud management body. Liaison with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
* End to end implementation of Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management tools and techniques. Analysis and improvement of Technical and Functional specifications for operational staff and User Documentation for end-users (Sales & Marketing and CC departments)
* Analysis and co-implementation of improvement procedures for data collection from network elements and data verification
* Creation of dashboard for management with information showing the ‘state of the company.’

Key knowledge Areas and Skills Required

* Significant experience and exposure to telecommunications products, services, rates, tariffs, regulations, service level agreements, and interconnection agreements and contracts preferably come from a Big 5 telecommunications consulting/edp audit background
* Significant experience and exposure with order provisioning, customer care, usage processing and telecommunications billing processes, systems and interfaces
* Significant experience and exposure with carrier access and reciprocal compensation billing processes, procedures and systems
* Strong understanding of data analysis, auditing and reconciliation methods and procedures
* Proven ability to take large amounts of multi-faceted data and create insightful and meaningful information to be used in business decision making
* Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills with all levels of management in a professional capacity
* Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines
Strong capability to pull reports, load information, and trend data
* Superior software skills, especially in MS Excel, Access, and Word. Successful history of working with software applications. 3+ years of experience working in telecom auditing environment.
* Hands-on Project management skills, any SQL or Oracle experience helpful
* Good appreciation of project management methodology, principles and best practices

Qualification/Experience Requirement
Graduate in numerical course
MBA a plus/ ACCA or equivalent
7 – 10 years revenue assurance experience
Intimate knowledge implementing RA and Fraud Management systems Verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and the ability to influence others,
