United Geophysical (Nigeria) Limited is seeking to engage additional Nigeria professional and technical staff to serve and operate anywhere in Nigeria to fill the following position: Experienced Seismic Observers


EXPERIENCED SEISMIC OBSERVERS – (REF. EX-Obs/10)
Applicants must possess a minimum of second class University Degree in Electronic Engineering with at least 3 years experience on a seismic crew. Candidates must also demonstrate inter personal and organizational skill in handling large recording crews. Preference will be given to candidates with experience using the sercel 408 and 428 recording systems.


EXPERIENCED ELECTRONIC ENGINEERS. (Ref-Engr/10)
Applicants must possess a minimum of a second class university degree or HND in electronic engineering at least 3 years experience & IEEE accredited. Candidates must be computer literate and have good presentation skills


EXPERIENCED ACCOUNTANTS – (Ref. Ex-Acc/10)
Applicants must possess a minimum of second class University Degree or a HND in Accounting major with a minimum of 2 years working experience and should have sound knowledge of accounting. Applicants must have very good knowledge of the use of computers including Microsoft Office and at least one full accounting package.


EXPERIENCED LEGAL & ADMINISTRATION OFFICERS – (Ref. Legal & Admin/10)
The job is a challenging one involving a variety of tasks including all aspects of administration affecting the company including property leases, visas and travel arrangement, community liaision, legal matters all statutory regulations affecting the oil industry. Applicants must be ready to work in all parts of Nigeria and must have a good degree in law. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills are also essential. Experience in the oil sector would be an added advantage


EXPERIENCED IT PERSONNEL – (Ref. Ex-IT/10)
Applicants must possess a minimum of second class university Degree or HND im computer science/engineering or electrical engineer with 1-2 years post NYSC experience. Applicants are required to be familiar with computer repairs and troubleshooting (both hardware & software). He/she must be conversant with servers and have the ability to work under pressure, excellent communication skills, fluent spoken and written English, analytical skills and good human relations skills.



EXPERIENCED SEISMOLOGISTS – (Ref. Seis/10)
Applicants must possess a minimum of second class University Degree in any Earth or Physical Sciences with at least 3 years experience in 3D seismic data acquisition or processing. Candidates must possess in depth knowledge of computer software including windows and UNIX operating systems. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a working knowledge of 3D planning & design using Omni and promax field processing software.



REMUNERATION: Compensation packages to be offered to the above positions will be negotiated depending on the experience and capability.
